The cape was probably the easiest part to do (thank goodness
something about this costume is easy! =D) Take a length of your chosen
fabric (for example I used 6 yards of silk essence from JoAnn's Fabrics,
but keep in mind mine is for a person 6' tall). Leave enough of one end as
the actual cape and hem:

Split the remaining yardage up the middle and finish off all the edges. I
simply folded and ironed 1/4 " and then folded and ironed another 3/8"
around all the edges:
Now you have your basic cape finished. The following photos are how I
completed the finished look:

The remaining "cowl" that is seen on the backside of the neck is a bit of
a mystery to me. I sewed 2 half circles together, forming a sort of pouch
and haphazardly attached it with safety pins. If anyone knows how this
part was really done, please email me.
